Cupids Struck a Killer Night with the ‘80s and ‘90s Mystery Party at Little Havana

Whether their hair was feathered or they slipped into their coziest flannels, EXPLORERS brought the ‘80s and ‘90s back in full force at Little Havana! While the mojitos were flowing and Cubano sandwiches were eaten, revelers participated in a variety of entertaining games designed to help strangers become friends all in the name of supporting Digital Harbor High School’s Cooking Club.

The founder of that club, Degan Maguire, was there in person with his family and ended up winning the $250 Grand Prize for Best Fashion Attire, sponsored by Mindgrub! Kelly Ryan and Dyane Delemarre successfully matched their nut and bolt to win a $100 gift card to Fogo de Chao, while Riley Fleming bested the crowd in the Killer Dart competition and won a $50 gift card and prize pack to Crossbar. Eric Robinson, meanwhile, put his knowledge of ‘80s and ‘90s music to great use and was able to finish the most lyrics and win a turntable and $25 gift card to Protean Books & Records, and Tia Hardy emerged victorious in the Killer Cupid Mystery and earned a $50 gift card to Brewer’s Cask!

We cannot thank our sponsors and the fantastic staff at Little Havana enough for their support. Little Havana has not one, but two party spaces that we were able to use for this event, and they were perfect in accommodating our activities while still having plenty of space for everyone to eat and drink. The next time you’re looking to plan a fun event, be sure to keep them in mind!

We’d also like to thank all of our EXPLORERS who were able to make this event, including Bob Paff from the Bob Paff Show on WCBM-680, Eva Wingren from Strong City Baltimore, Torbin Green from St. Francis Neighborhood Center, Holly Shook from CUPs Coffee Shop, Morgan Green from Aziza Peace, plein air painter Bruno Baran, business coach Monyka Berrocosa, songwriter Shelly Blondell, and makeup artist to the stars Owen O’Donnell. A special shoutout is in order for DJ Steve at Protean Books and Records for spinning fantastic songs all night!

Our next event is the Queen of the Night Masquerade! The palace has been flipped upside down, The Queen is upset, and Lord Baltimore Hotel is taking in an American Princess. Join us for a night fun, fashion, prizes, and a surprise performance.
